Fantastic reproduction of the extremely rare Vickers Browning transport case. Originally intended and designed for the 1915 Vickers in 1916 and was pressed into issue for the 1917 as well when it was adopted. These were issued from WWI into the very very early stages of WWII for pack and cart transport before the well known and common M7 cover of WWII was created. Few originals are known to exist and are extremely spendy and often in poor relic condition when they do come up. Example in Dolfs Vol.3 on page 317. Perfect for your WWI or inner-war display, these were copied perfectly from a N.O.S. R.H. LONG 1918 dated sample. Painstakingly reproduced, heavy duty cotton no.4 canvas duck in a beautiful WWI Tan correct color, Blacked brass and steal hardware. Carry sling included.
* Notes:
As these were designed with the Vickers in mind first, bear in mind a 1917 SWIMS inside the case without a b-can on it.
